Santa Julia Tardio – Mendoza, Argentina - $5
Regularly one of the world’s finest values in sweet wines, Santa
Julia’s 2004 Tardio is fashioned from late harvested Torrontes.
Sporting 140 grams of residual sugar per liter, this candied
apple and apricot-scented wine is extremely well-balanced,
fresh, and light to medium-bodied. Its white peach, yellow plum,
and apricot flavors linger in its appealing finish. Highly
recommended!
Chateau Les Tuileries Sauternes 2005 – Bordeaux, France - $8
95% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc.
Each grape from this stellar vintage was hand-picked and aged
in French and American oak barrels.
Shows a complex nose of white flowers, lemon and honey, with
fruity flavors and a perfect balance between sweetness and
acidity. A wonderfully sweet aperitif or pairing to cheeses and
fruit based desserts.
