In August 2007, The Cellar opened as a wine and tapas bar. We were (and still are) known for our unique plates-to-share and creative martini menu. In September 2011, we expanded in to a full-service dining operation, offering our loyal customers even more modern fusion options. In July 2015, long-time Executive Chef Michael Lanahan, and his wife Ellen, purchased The Cellar from its’ previous owners and began to make their mark as a destination restaurant and exceptional dining experience in downtown Corning’s Gaffer District.
